It's the seventh day of the seventh month… Tanabata!

In various locations throughout the school and outside, bamboo branches have been set up! If your character cares to investigate, they will find that there are pens and colorful sheets of paper nearby with string attached to them. There is a short explanation posted nearby to explain, and encouragement to share their own wishes.

Wishes can be simple, serious, just for fun, whatever! "I wish I had a pony." "I wish I had a girlfriend." "I hope Billy makes it out of the hospital okay." Characters are not required to sign their names, but there is a chance that someone could see them hanging something up...

You can leave their wishes on this post! Feel free to make action threads if you so desire! Just make sure to mark it as such if you're into that kind of thing.

Riley just stared at Dedede in anger. Almost in shock, as well.

"Hey!" he called out. "Don't do that - that's selfish."

He wasn't sure what called for the outburst - maybe for the fact that he wanted to write something on the paper as well? No, it ran deeper than that - what Dedede was doing was contrary to the whole spirit of the festival. Or so it seems.

With a sigh, Riley realised that he was one of those kinds. Oh well, it wouldn't do for someone to stumble upon this tree and not have the chance to write a wish. He looked at the trash can that had the papers and he fished out a bunch of straightish looking ones before going to the side of the tree and placing them back on again.

He stopped when the penguin yelled at him. Well, he was expecting that.

"Don't you get it though?" Riley's eyes glowed blue and he projected a 'diplomatic' aura meant to be reassuring and authoritative at the same time. "If you don't give other people the chance to make wishes, then your wishes by default become invalided. Karma, you understand?"

"No, everyone's wishes are allowed on that tree. If you want your wish to come true, you have to believe that it will. If you sabotage anybody else's chances, then as I said..."

Riley lowered the brim of his hat over his eyes with a flourish.

"Karma will get you. Maybe you don't actually believe that you're worthy of a wish if you feel so threatened."
