[It is no secret that the Academy's gardens are Rather Impressive. What might be a secret is that there are plots that students could sign up for in the green house! Frequenters to said parts of campus have probably already known and gotten what they wanted, so no need to do anything special for them. For everyone else...]

In case anyone might be interested, there are still quite a few plots that people can sign up for in the garden should you want to try your own hand at gardening! It might seem a bit odd to offer it during the summer, but there are actually a number of things that can be planted at this time of year just in time for fall. If you are interested, you may come sign up for one in the green house. Those who already have one might sign up for an additional if you desire.

Additionally, would anyone be interested in arrangements for the winter? I'm afraid the sign ups for those would be rather limited as the green house is only so large... The sooner I know how many are interested, the more prepared we can all be.

I will have to see what can be done about keeping things in order during the Headmasters' trip... It seems odd to send everyone off just to clean up sand, but it has been getting everywhere....

The bamboo leaves rustle,
shaking away in the eaves.
The stars twinkle;
Gold and silver grains of sand.

It's the seventh day of the seventh month… Tanabata!

In various locations throughout the school and outside, bamboo branches have been set up! If your character cares to investigate, they will find that there are pens and colorful sheets of paper nearby with string attached to them. There is a short explanation posted nearby to explain, and encouragement to share their own wishes.

Wishes can be simple, serious, just for fun, whatever! "I wish I had a pony." "I wish I had a girlfriend." "I hope Billy makes it out of the hospital okay." Characters are not required to sign their names, but there is a chance that someone could see them hanging something up...

You can leave their wishes on this post! Feel free to make action threads if you so desire! Just make sure to mark it as such if you're into that kind of thing.

Dream on, SBG.

It's always a wonderful sign when I can smell rain in the air in March. Spring is finally waking up, and not a moment too soon. I missed the flowers and the green... Some of the buds on the trees are already starting to bloom! They're not too soon either, as the cherry blossom festival is this weekend!

It should be a pleasant way to stretch your legs out after the winter, and perhaps clear your mind of any odd happenings... I know my dream book has been filled with rather odd entries that I don't remember writing... We don't have any Ninetales or Arcanines in attendance, do we?

[The rest of this entry cut for slight GenV spoilers: Erika received a phone call for her birfday.] )

Ah, dear... The winter season is just around the corner. I am fairly certain I can feel the snow's approach in my fingers! It always seems to come too quickly and stay just a bit too long... But I suppose that makes Spring all the more beautiful by comparison. Though I must say Celadon is a great deal warmer than FDC... Perhaps I should invest in some nice sweaters while I am here.

I find that November has always been a good time to reflect before the new year, especially with Thanksgiving. There are a number of things I find myself thankful for this year, many of them new.

What are you giving thanks for, Smash Academy?

... I apologize for my swift absence after that event. It was... incredibly important to let my parents know everything was alright in person rather than just on the phone, since I couldn't see them before... Well. Yes. Also I had to run my gym I missed a day hrmmph. There is little else I can say on the matter that has not already been said.

However, if anyone else thought it was a brilliant idea to drink the common Pokemon antidote, please see me immediately. I have aids for your no doubt troubled stomachs.

[Private text message to one (1) Brock's Pokegear, sent some time in her absence.]
I'd like to see you.
I realize it is an appealing action to take, but please DO NOT under any circumstances start consuming multiple antitoxins that you might have around you in an attempt to cure yourself. You run the risk of crossing things together in your system and effectively poisoning yourself, much like with common medicines.

Please do not do this unless you know exactly what you are consuming.

[MEANWHILE, OUTSIDE OF TD-34... In between running items from greenhouses to labs and having long conversations on the phone regarding living trusts, a small basket of flowers had come into being and was sitting outside of the door in the offchance that its owner would get to see it. How mysterious. It is a small, somewhat rushed arrangement of sweet pea, gardenia and blue bells, along with a single blue-centered daisy. There is a small sheet of paper attached tanabata-style, and it simply says: "Thank you." Writing anything about birthdays seemed a bit too bittersweet and insincere at the moment.]

Oh a festival! Oh that's very exciting. It's been the perfect weather for one... I suppose this will make up for the fact that there wasn't one for tanabata.

This place does have its ups and its downs, doesn't it? Whenever something truly strange happens something wonderful is quickly around the corner... Perhaps this is not the time to think of it. We should just enjoy the summer nights to their fullest.

It will be a lovely time, I hope. I'm sure I'll see quite a few of you there.

[Erika came back from Kanto a little bit earlier than usual. As soon as she got back, she got the feeling that something was not normal about... something. She couldn't put her finger on what that something was thought. There seemed to be a whole lot more fauna around though. New students or...?]

... Was there a recent revision of the pet keeping policies in my absence...?

Ahh… The Star Festival is today. I realize I might be in the minority of celebrating it, but I hope no one minds that it was set up for anyway. It would be nice for a whole festival to be held, but I am not surprised to see that FDC does not have one of its own. Yet.

But considering all that has happened… I thought it would be a nice way to cleanse people's thoughts. I would encourage people to take part, if they so desire.

Could anyone tell me if there is a river nearby? I'm afraid I haven't explored enough to find out on my own.

The green house looks absolutely stunning so far. You should all feel incredibly proud of yourselves.

Thank you.

[It was very hard for Erika to express how thankful and appreciative she was for all of the hard work that had been going into (and was still going in to) the greenhouse on such a wide scale. A blanket thank you just didn't seem right. So over the next few days, everyone that had participated in helping in some way, no matter how small, received a note. In each were her heartfelt thanks, and a single pressed leaf (of various origin). The leaves had been salvaged from the plants that didn't quite make it through the trashing.]

A Narration, in which Erika probably cried for ten minutes. )
----

… I do not know who was responsible for the events in the green house this morning. I have no idea what your intentions were or if you accomplished them. I cannot begin to express my disappointment in the lack of respect that was shown towards the efforts of your classmates and the life their efforts made bloom.

Your actions are a reflection of your character, and I can only presume you have the same amount of respect for yourself as you do the things you've destroyed. Regardless, it would be my hope that someday you'll be above petty actions and apologize to those whose time and hard work you've wasted. That way I know who you are so I can slip you poison.

… I'm salvaging what I can, but there are a good deal that were lost. I… apologize.

[Erika's light slumber had been interrupted by the sounds of the softest flutterings of wings. The sounds of adversaries. She left her bed and discovered MOTHS. EVERYWHERE. IN HER EYES. If she were the type of person to shriek she would have but she did not. Oh goodness they were everywhere and... her plants! Erika almost nearly cried until she noticed that despite the insect invasion, her plants were unharmed.

Huh.]

Does... Does anyone happen to need any moths?

I have... quite a few of them.

"In the cherry blossom's shade
there's no such thing
as a stranger."
— Kobayashi Issa

Final Destination is having its cherry blossom festival!

There have been flyers up around the city and the school, and the trees themselves have been their own best advertisement. The festival is a modest affair celebrating the coming and spring and nature's beauty in the simplest moments. The celebrations are this weekend! Celebrations being picnics and frolicking amongst the petals with sparkles and gayity.

Erika has been strongly encouraging attendance. In fact, simply attending was the only assignment she assigned to her botany students that week.

The open log is right here!

What a delightful change in scenery. My spring snowdrops and iris are blooming at long last. Truly, a warmer season has begun. The warmer breeze has stirred up much in way departure and arrival...

I suppose it is a time of new adventure for many.

It seems as if we were all just wishing for spring to arrive sooner and now it has snuck up on us. Perhaps I am the only one surprised by how quickly time has passed since winter... Though it could be that is due to the fresh new life signaling another step in age... ahh, it's been another year already...!
