Hello, Smash Academy… My goodness, it's quite chilly here… I truly was not expecting this much snow! It is not nearly as cold in Celadon.

But no matter. Cold as it may be, we shall persevere. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Erika. I am the Leader of the Celadon Gym in Kanto… I do hope you are not growing weary of us, seeing how many of my peers have arrived before me… The winter months in Celadon leave one desiring more, as it is not a popular time for trainers to travel. I have heard that this school has much to offer, and I hope you'd allow me to teach you the beauty that can be found in the world's flora.

…You could also say I am somewhat concerned about a few things. I hope I will not be an intrusion to my fellow gym leaders.

Would someone be so kind as to show me the way to your green house?

I will be returning to my gym promptly every week to make sure that my duties are well attended to. I have my floral arranging class after all...

Which is why I am comfortable with expressing my concern to you. I know you are nothing like Giovanni and are very capable, but being away for very long still leaves a negative impression regardless.

I just don't want you to acquire a reputation for the wrong reasons.
