Hello, Smash Academy… My goodness, it's quite chilly here… I truly was not expecting this much snow! It is not nearly as cold in Celadon.

But no matter. Cold as it may be, we shall persevere. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Erika. I am the Leader of the Celadon Gym in Kanto… I do hope you are not growing weary of us, seeing how many of my peers have arrived before me… The winter months in Celadon leave one desiring more, as it is not a popular time for trainers to travel. I have heard that this school has much to offer, and I hope you'd allow me to teach you the beauty that can be found in the world's flora.

…You could also say I am somewhat concerned about a few things. I hope I will not be an intrusion to my fellow gym leaders.

Would someone be so kind as to show me the way to your green house?

That is a valid question. While I cannot speak for my peers, I can at least assure you that I will still be running Celadon Gym though I have taken a position here. It is not unusual for a gym to have a set schedule.

Fair enough. So what do gym leaders do anyway?

We are levels for aspiring poke on trainers to aim for, so to speak. If a trainer beats one of us in a battle, then they will receive that gym's badge. Once you have obtained the badges, you can take on the Elite Four.

...It is all mostly a test of the strength of your team and yourself as a trainer.
