Hello, Smash Academy… My goodness, it's quite chilly here… I truly was not expecting this much snow! It is not nearly as cold in Celadon.
But no matter. Cold as it may be, we shall persevere. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Erika. I am the Leader of the Celadon Gym in Kanto… I do hope you are not growing weary of us, seeing how many of my peers have arrived before me… The winter months in Celadon leave one desiring more, as it is not a popular time for trainers to travel. I have heard that this school has much to offer, and I hope you'd allow me to teach you the beauty that can be found in the world's flora.
…You could also say I am somewhat concerned about a few things. I hope I will not be an intrusion to my fellow gym leaders.
Would someone be so kind as to show me the way to your green house?

Date: 2010-01-12 04:21 am (UTC)Since you're here though, I've been trying to figure out a few tips raising my Turtwig right. I know he's better adapted to the cold, since he's Sinnoh born and the region is naturally colder than the others, but I'd like a more experience grass type trainer I'm so honored to be speaking to a gym leader, none the less!, you know? Whoopsies, sorry for rambling a little tiny bit.

Date: 2010-01-12 05:29 pm (UTC)No need for apologies, dear. I'm honored you would ask! Ah, a Turtwig! I hope you would not mind if I asked to see him at some point?
Ah, but yes. While it might be true that he can handle the cold a bit better, I would not rely on that. In the long run, the cold will probably effect him as much as it would any other grass pokemon. This will become even more vital to keep in mind if you decide to let him become a Torterra. If he enjoys playing in the snow, I would not stop him, but I would keep a careful eye out to make sure he is not out there too long. A half-hour to an hour might be best... Make sure to keep him warm and that he has plenty of access to water and sunlight.
...Oh, haha, it appears I rambled quite a bit myself. Did you, ah, have any specific questions?
