Ahh… The Star Festival is today. I realize I might be in the minority of celebrating it, but I hope no one minds that it was set up for anyway. It would be nice for a whole festival to be held, but I am not surprised to see that FDC does not have one of its own. Yet.

But considering all that has happened… I thought it would be a nice way to cleanse people's thoughts. I would encourage people to take part, if they so desire.

Could anyone tell me if there is a river nearby? I'm afraid I haven't explored enough to find out on my own.

No, this one doesn't have anything to do with comets. It's based on an old folktale about lovers that were separated, but there's one day each year that they can be together again. The tale lives on in the stars.

Oh my, it is a festival of the stars? I'm most surprised that I hadn't heard of it just yet then. It is a dear shame. I suppose I am still not yet in tune with average human holidays.

I wouldn't say that. It's fairly cultural, so it isn't celebrated everywhere around the world.

Yes. It's based on an old story... Essentially there were two lovers that were separated for whatever reason... There are a few versions. They were granted one day of the year to be together, but they could only see each other if the weather was good since they have to cross a river...

Ahh, but I'm about to ramble on too much. The story is retold in the sky through the stars, and traditionally people would ask for good weather to cheer them on.
