natureprincess: (Looking very serene today)

Ahh… The Star Festival is today. I realize I might be in the minority of celebrating it, but I hope no one minds that it was set up for anyway. It would be nice for a whole festival to be held, but I am not surprised to see that FDC does not have one of its own. Yet.

But considering all that has happened… I thought it would be a nice way to cleanse people's thoughts. I would encourage people to take part, if they so desire.

Could anyone tell me if there is a river nearby? I'm afraid I haven't explored enough to find out on my own.

Image So you're the one who left the bamboo out! I was surprised to see a Japanese holiday being celebrated all the way out here. Wait, which country is FDC in again

I've heard there's a lake, so there must be a river leading into it. I'll wait on the other side for you~~

I'm sure it would. Just as much as your apparent love of kimonos gave me my own suspicions about you.

Care for a bit of company?

What'd you wish for, Erika?

Image Star Festival? But that shouldn't be for another 98 years!

Image What do you mean, 'another?' Golly gee, isn't this the one with the giant comet that passes through the sky?

Oh my, it is a festival of the stars? I'm most surprised that I hadn't heard of it just yet then. It is a dear shame. I suppose I am still not yet in tune with average human holidays.

I already have taken part~ It was a splendid idea~ Thank you for this opportunity, miss.

[identity profile] crescentpanels.livejournal.com 2010-07-07 08:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Oho, you don't say? Then I suppose that is why I hadn't heard of it in the same vein as holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving. That explains it very well, yes~

Oh yes, it seems we haven't. You may call me Selene. It is certainly a pleasure to meet you, Erika.

Star festival? Sounds better than a firefly festival, anyway.

[identity profile] 4x4-of-manly.livejournal.com 2010-07-07 08:48 pm (UTC)(link)
You don't need a festival to do any of that. But it sounds kind of neat. How's it all work?

[identity profile] hasbandanacap.livejournal.com 2010-07-09 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, so that was those trees were for? I haven't written a wish to put on the bamboo tree yet since I didn't know, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to write one!

[identity profile] hasbandanacap.livejournal.com 2010-07-11 10:48 am (UTC)(link)
I guess it's a nice feeling to write up a wish... It makes me want to work harder to accomplish it, haha!

Star Festival, Miss Erika?

[identity profile] boxingmidget.livejournal.com 2010-07-11 02:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh wow...I didn't know such a thing existed. Learn somethin' everyday. So it's a well wishin' thing?

What was the bamboo tree for?
